As a dietitian I am often thinking about ways to make recipes and meals nourishing, satisfying, and, of course, delicious.
When focusing on nutrition from a food perspective, it is often most beneficial to focus on what we can add/include in our meals and routine (within the scope of what we personally tolerate and have access to) to get a wider spectrum of beneficial nutrients, as well as sustained joy and satisfaction from our food/habits.
I want to acknowledge here that as every body is different, we all have unique needs, values, access, medical histories, preferences, and the list goes on and on! This series will include a variety of general, fun ideas for nourishing foods to add/include to make some really tasty, nutritious meals.
